Jason Robertson, the star flyhalf of Old Glory DC and all of Major League Rugby, will leave for France after the end of the 2021 season. He has signed a two-year with Narbonne, a team in the Pro D2, the second-tier of professional rugby in France. It will be his first time breaking into the European rugby scene. This is a significant step in his carrer and we wish him the best of luck.
Robertson has been a fan favorite and will be greatly missed from the team. His partnership with Danny Tusitala has been a huge part of Old Glory’s success and was widely recognized in the league for being one of the best half-back pairings. He has been a mainstay for Old Glory these past two years.
He will be a hard player to replace for Old Glory, given how much of the attack has been built around his skill at flyhalf. In the short term, expect to see more of Mike Dabulas at flyhalf as the coaching staff tries to get him some extra experience. He’s largely played fullback and wing this year, but he was originally a flyhalf. If he can impress, he may take that role on as a starter next year.
